Within the framework of the international project CircleMED, funded by the Interreg Euro-MED program, the Bulgarian Recycling Association (BAR) invites small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in testing the Decision Support Tool (DST), aimed at assessing and developing circular business practices.
What is the tool?
DST is a software solution developed as a decision support system that allows enterprises to assess the level of implementation of the principles of the circular economy in their activities. The tool is easy to use and includes nine thematic areas, including governance, business model, resources, measurements and data, finance, digital factors and a common vision for sustainable development.
How does the testing work?
Participation in the testing is completely free and is carried out by filling out an online questionnaire in English, which takes approximately 15 minutes. The testing can be conducted:
- on-site at the enterprise, or
- via an online meeting, depending on the participant’s preferences.
After completing the testing, participating SMEs will receive an individual report including: - an overall score on a scale from 0 to 100;
- specific recommendations;
- visualization of the results through an interactive dashboard, which presents the level of maturity of the enterprise in the nine strategic areas of the circular economy.
Additionally, participants will be invited to provide brief feedback via an evaluation form, in order to improve and upgrade the tool.
Who can participate?
The call is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, as defined by the EU (Recommendation 2003/361/EC and Regulation (EU) No 651/2014). The selection of participants will be carried out on a first-come, first-served basis.
The indicative period for conducting the testing is from February 2026 to mid-April 2026.
How to apply?
Interested companies should fill out the Participation Form and send it by email to:
bar@bar-bg.org
The deadline for submitting applications is April 19, 2026.
Questions related to the call can be sent to the same email address until February 20, 2026.
